Intro to Omiyage Workshop @ The Taiko Centre

‘Omiyage’ is an energetic and fun piece played naname style (on slant stands). This open source piece was composed by LA based Shoji Komeda as a gift to the taiko community, (‘Omiyage’ means gift in Japanese) and is played by groups all over the world.

This workshop will look at various parts of the piece, no prior experience of slant style playing necessary but this workshop is not suitable for complete beginners. £10 per person. This workshop is now fully booked to go on the waiting list please email info@kagemusha.com.

Sunday Skills and Drills @ The Taiko Centre

An exciting way to kick off a Sunday, these Skills and Drills sessions will cover a range of things including shime and odaiko technique as well as different styles of playing  such as up-stand and slant stand. £10 per person and suitable for those who’ve played taiko before.
